Florida spotted sea trout & redfish action.

[nggallery id=843]After yestedays storm that passed through the mid-US and to the eastern seaboard, winds subsided, but Gulf waters were still stirred up from the winds and rollers so we decided to fish the flats with Mike, Izzy and Linda.  We headed out from Port Charlotte, FL and headed south-west to Turtle and Bull Bays where we cast Rapala lures and targetted nice-size spotted sea trout.

We again fished the Rapala spinning outfits loaded with Sufix 832, 10 & 15 lb. braid and equipped with 20 lb.Sufix fluorocarbon leaders.  Our lures of choice were Blue Fox Stipple spoons, the Rapala Subwalk and the TriggerX Paddle Tail Minnow fished on an 1/8 oz. jighead.

After getting our fill of sea trout fishing we headed to the “west-wall” to fish for redfish on the last 2 hr. of the rising tide.  We were not dissapointed and we hooked some nice redfish.
