Florida Spadefish.
Posted on December 16th, 2017I love to fish for a variety of fish both in fresh and saltwater. On a recent outing fishing with my good friend Gabor Horvat, we stumbled on a school of very unique looking fish that look like an Angelfish. That fish is non-other than the Spadefish. This fish are plentiful, and can roam waters from just a few feet in depth, to over 60′ in depth.
Gabot was using small pieces of fresh shrimp fished on a mall hook with just a split-shot sinker for bait. Spadefish take a bait very lightly so having a sensitive rod tip and quick reflexes really pays off.
