Florida redfish update.
Posted on February 20th, 2013[nggallery id=838]I just arrived in Florida yesterday to receive an email from our good friend Mike Scarlett who is catching larger and larger redfish. Canadian anglers taking a Florida vacation going into March should definitely pack their medium-action rods, some 10 lb. test Sufix 832 braid, some Sufix 20 lb. test fluorocarbon leader material. As far as lures for redfish go, it’s better to buy the 1/16 oz. saltwater jigheads once you arrive at your Florida vacation and you are about to ick up some live shrimp from the bait shop (to place a small piece of shrimp on your jig-hook). Just bring down a couple of bags of TriggerX 4 or 5″ Minnows. Just fish along any of the mangrove shorlines and you have a really good chance of catching a nice redfish like Mike!
