Florida mangrove Redfish action.

Posted on December 2nd, 2016

Peter Yeung & Della Putri Irwantini are having a real taste of the variety of fishing southwest Florida has to offer. One day we are fishing 20+ miles our in the Gulf of Mexico in 70′ of water and the next day we are fishing along mangrove covered shorelines in less than 2′ water.

Our days start early with both Peter & Della ready to shoot excellent images and take professional video of our outings.

I was hoping Peter would hook the first Redfish on the flats and he did. We were using medium-action freshwater outfits loaded with Sufix line and casting 1/8 oz jigheads with Lunker City swimbaits.

If you get a chance to talk to him ask him how he enjoyed the slams and bull-dog fight these fish put up on light gear. Both Pete and I love to fish for anything that swims and last time we were fishing together we were steelheading. This is definitely a change of location, scenery and action…..in 80F and we love it!!
