Florida Gulf “Bluerunners”.

When you fish out in the Gulf of Mexico, Fl, it’s common to see schools of baitfish feeding on the surface.

In some situations you see the bait fish, than larger fish feeding violently on them. This happened the other day when we were fishing about 10-miles off-shore.

The feeding fish turned out to be Blue Runners which fight hard and average about 4 lb. Besides being great fighters they are also very good eating fish. Medium-action spinning outfits loaded with Sufix 832 braid works well to cast flashy spoons and Rapalas to get these fish to hit.
