Florida dinner catch.
Posted on February 9th, 2022We are blessed to spend time in Florida during some of the coldest temps and heavy snowfall back in Ontario. Sometimes we go off-shore to catch big fish, other times we fish in-shore and look to catch some smaller fish for dinner.

Recently we had a chance to get out with our good friend Jonathan Katz to target some tasty saltwater fish. We fished a sliding sinker rig, fluorocarbon leader and tandem hooks baited with chunks of cut sardines right on the bottom. We ended up with a nice mixed-catch of Snapper, Porgy & Squirrelfish.

Porgy are beautifully colored, they are usually mixed in with Snapper schools and they are excellent eating, especially on the grill.
