I had the pleasure of fishing with three Fishergirls today while filming the new opening for our Fishergirl weekly feature that will appear each week in our new Canadian Sportfishing TV series that will start airing in Nov. of this year. Barbara Omara and her two daughters Katie & Kristen, as well as Dawn Jewell, VP Fishergirl were on-hand to assist in the filming. We chose the beautiful Upper Niagara River as our set and targeted smallmouth bass using various Fishergirl spining combos and dragged 4″ tubes & 1/4 oz. jigheads along the bottom in 14-25′ of water. Kristen hooked up on a nice 3 lb. smallmouth bass first, and than Katie hooked about a 3 1/2 lb. fish. Dawn Jewell did the netting honors and all of the action was caught on camera. Make sure to watch for the opening sequence when the new Fishergirl segments appear in the new Canadian Sportfishing TV series.
