First annual Pickle Lake Pike Catch and Release Derby
GRAND PRIZE is a Cottage Lot
Pickle Lake, ON – February 2nd, 2018 – This summer, the Township of Pickle Lake is hosting the very first annual Pickle Lake Pike Catch and Release Derby. The Pickle Lake area is known for its amazing fishing lakes and lodges, such as Lake St. Joseph and Kapkichi Lake. With the derby, we hope to promote Pickle Lake as an exceptional place to fish for Northern Pike, a fish that will give any master angler an outstanding experience. The derby will also be an amazing opportunity for community members to get out and enjoy the amazing fishing in their own backyard and help to bring a wider sense of community spirit and pride to Pickle Lake.
All profits will go towards funding community events for seniors, youth and those in distress. Events include senior’s dinners, the Summer Recreation Program, the Black Fly Festival and life skills workshops.
When: May 26th, 2018 9:00 am – 4:00 p.m. EST
Where: Pickle Lake
Costs: $100/Adult (18 and over)
$25/Youth (13 -17)
$10/Kids (12 and under)
All tickets include a Rib dinner and entry to the Derby Dance (19+ only).
Prizes: Adult Grand Prize is a Cottage Lot on Pickle Lake
