Final sunset walleye outing at Red Pine Wilderness Lodge, ON.
Posted on July 13th, 2010[nggallery id=272]After filming all day, enjoying a fresh walleye shorelunch and than getting a good down-pour, we still decided to head out for about one hour to fish after dinner and before dark. We decided to go to the same shoal that we filmed enough trophy walleye footage to produce two TV shows and sure-enough, the walleye were there and active. My wife Barb started off by catching a chunky 19″, and I finished with a nice 27″ walleye. In-between those fish we landed several smallmouth bass and eating size walleye. To top things off, we also witnessed a dynamic sunset.
If you love to catch walleye, I would really encourage you to check-out www.redpinelodge.com , on Lady Evelyn Lake, ON. It’s a short 2 hr. drive north-east of North Bay and offers excellent action for walleye, pike, smallmouth bass and back-lake fishing for pike, rainbow & brook trout, as well as smallmouth bass.
