Family fun at Red Pine Wilderness Lodge, ON.
Posted on July 12th, 2010[nggallery id=271]The action continues to be excellent at Red Pine Wilderness Lodge, ON. This morning we enjoyed fishing a few hours with the Walton family catching rock bass, perch, walleye and trophy smallmouth bass. We only fished for a couple of hours since today there was a community shore-lunch back at the lodge, but we made the best of it and caught lot’s of fish. The largest smallmouth were between 17′ to 19″ and there was lot’s of fish-jumps and action with every fish. During our fishing I also shot a segment for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources promoting their Kids Art Contest. You will be able to see that segment and all of the Watson family action once it’s edited and posted on YouTube and on the Ontario MNR site. After lunch my wife Barbara & I had a chance to fish walleye again and we were not disappointed. Barbara landed the largest fish, a chunky 24″ fish that fought hard on light tackle. The weather changed for the worst, and we ended up fishing in the rain but continued to land walleye in the 17″ to 19″ range.
