Fall Smallmouth on plastic minnow.

Posted on November 12th, 2020

With blue-bird skies and warm temperatures anglers are taking advantage of excellent trophy Smallmouth Bass fishing from Lake Erie, to Lake St. Clair, Lake Ontario and the Niagara River, ON.

Most of the Smallmouth are being caught fishing jigs/plastic grubs close to the bottom in 15-30′ water. The new Fishing Complete Italo’s Minnow has been producing many fish especially in the dark and white colors. The key is to work the soft-plastics close to the bottom while covering structure areas that change in elevation from 2-10′. Fishing the edges of these reefs/shoals is the “spot-on-the-spot” that has been producing many trophies upwards of 5 lb.
