Fall freshwater Drum.

Posted on November 5th, 2019

If you fish walleye early in the spring and late in the fall you know that every once and a while you hook into what feels like a monster walleye and when you get it up within sight, it turns out to be a freshwater drum.

Freshwater drum do spring & fall migrations similar to walleye and are often caught using the same techniques and fishing the same areas.

Rob Holland was recently fishing a section of the Bay of Quinte when he also thought he had a trophy walleye on and after a long fight it turned out to be a good size Drum. John was fishing a jig on the bottom and you can see the number the Drum did on the jig during the fight.
