Our good friend Gabor Horvat just returned from a European trip in Hungary. While he was there visiting family he also had a chance to check-out one of the very scenic and popular carp fishing spots. For those that may not realize, carp is a great gamefish in Europe and in many countries that have clean waters they are also esteemed for their eating qualities.
This weeks feature image is of Gabor Horvat holding up a medium-size “mirror carp” an angler caught using ground bait as an attractant and a feeder-carp rig. Many European carp species have a light colored meat (unlike our common carp that has a very dark meet resembling beef), and they taste great great and are even popular on restaurant menus!
