Ed Dolstra catches nice Lake Scugog, ON largemouth.
Posted on August 11th, 2015Our friend Ed Dolstra sent us these images of some recent largemouth he caught fishing in Lake Scugog. Lake Scugog is a shallow lake that is full of weeds which frustrated many anglers. But, it’s those weeds that produce food for trophy largemouth bass.
Lake Scugog is ideal fishing grounds if you love to catch largemouth in heavy cover by fishing surface weedless frogs, weedless spoons and Texas-rigged soft-plastics.
With the warm weather we have been having weeds are abundant all over the lake. Anglers can choose from fishing the milfoil and coontail, to expanses of lily pad patches….all hold trophy largemouth!
