Eastern Lake Ontario Chinook Salmon update.
Posted on August 2nd, 2022Our good friend Michael Kumar had a chance to fish a few hrs with his good friend Michael Costa out of Newcastle, ON.
The were 4-for-4 on good size Chinook Salmon. They fished downriggers atvstaggered depths in 80-100’ of water using cut-bait heads with fish strips. The Chinooks in Lake Ontario will be putting in the weight right up until they start “staging” near river and harbour mouth starting in mid-Aug. Now is the time to take advantage of their migrating through the Oshawa to Brighton stretch of Lake Ontario.
