Drift-fishing flies for Great Lakes steelhead.

Posted on December 15th, 2015

If you are steelhead “drift-fisherman” and primarily fish roe-bags I would encourage you to try fishing this fly if the fish have stopped taking spawn-sacks.

This is a very productive fly that I often fish under a sensative float with drift-outfit. The key to getting steelhead to strike is to fish it at the right depth  and to gently “shake” the float as it’s drifting producing a tantalizing up-and-down action with the fly steelhead can’t resist!
