Dickies Charter produces small Chinooks and nice Rainbow Trout.
Posted on July 8th, 2010[nggallery id=267]I had the pleasure of joining the Dickies team yesterday on a Lake Ontario charter out of Port Credit. We met and headed out around 1pm with Wayne Andres and his mate, Chris on the largest charter boat in Lake Ontario, a beautiful 52′ big-game fishing machine. As soon as we headed out of the harbor we could see hundreds of juvenile alewife jumping out of the water from the boat-wake. Weather was hot and the action a little slow, but we managed to land about 1/2 dozen fish in a few hours. We started off catching smaller Chinook salmon on both fluttering spoons and salmon flies and finished-off hooking to nice rainbows. One is pictured above and the other was “almost” landed and shook the hook after making about 6-jumps out of the water. We enjoyed great weather, great company, excellent snacks & beverages and even a full roast beef dinner right on-board. Now that’s fishing in style. If you would like to book an excellent charter fishing trip for salmon & trout that can accommodate groups from 8-35 people, than I would strongly encourage you to contact Wayne at, www.andrewscharter.ca .
