Detroit River Walleye Update
Posted on May 19th, 2009
Walleye fishing is getting more consistent on the Detroit River. The Kubasseks had a chance to fish the La Salle, ON stretch of the Detroit River and had good fishing jigging with 1/2 jighead & 4″ brown plastic worms righ on the bottom. Due to strong winds this spring, the Detroit River has been turbid and the fishing has been tough. Water conditions have improved greatly over the last 2-weeks and the fishing is getting better daily. We will be filming a walleye show there the end of this month out of the La Salle, ON boat launch. If you are planning a trip to the Detroit River for walleye, the last week in May should be excellent!
