According to Mike Borovic the Detroit River is producing a lot of walleye. Even though the Canadian side has had murky water conditions from predominantly north-east winds most of this spring, anglers are still catching fish in the “blended” water areas.
Linda and Jesse can’t stop smiling after landing their recent catch. Walleye anglers that love to jig-fish for walleye should be planning on heading down to the Detroit River over the next month to take advantage of the quality catches of walleye that can be up to 12 lb. Remember, the current is pretty strong and the fish are holding anywhere from 18-40′ depths, so heavier jigheads are the standard and of course, braided line.
