[nggallery id=863]Walleye anglers, the fishing in “ON” in the Detroit River both on the Canadian and US side. It looks like it took a couple of weeks later than last year for the walleye to move in all sections of the river, but now there are there in high numbers. Our good friend Pat Pagano, Mike Atkins, Nino and Americo tried fishing yesterday after work launching from the La Salle, ON boat launch and fishing 1/2 oz. jigs/4″ plastic worm along the bottom in 18-27′ of water and caught 17-walleye between 6:30 – 9pm. Now that’s hot action, with some smallies mixed in.
If you like to walleye fish, the Detroit River is where you should be right now!
