Detroit River, ON walleye fishing update.

Posted on May 6th, 2014

[nggallery id=934]Pat Pagano reports. Last Saturday we fished a Walleye tournament in the Detroit River. We fished the area of the Windsor, ON Casino down to the Ambassador bridge and caught 24 walleye in less then 3 hours. We caught the walleye in 40 to 47 feet of water. Most of the fish were caught on the plastic 4” worms & finesse plastic minnows rigged on a 5/8 jig. The white bass have already start to show up in the river. When they reach high numbers, the walleye fishign will slow down until the white bass move out.
