Detroit River, ON Walleye fishing is hot!!

[nggallery id=691]My good friend Pat Pagano who runs the ICHA Handicapable Event each year in Windsor, ON let me know that the walleye fishing was fantastic this past weekend.  Windy conditions had really muddied-up the river for the last few weeks and few anglers were even going out due to the low water-visibility.  This past weekend though, the water was clear enough to fish and many anglers bonused-out!!  The lure of choice for Pat and Nino Palazzolo was a 5/8 oz. jighead rigged with a 4″ brown “finesse-wom”/stinger hook.  They fished their jigs along the bottom in water from 14-24′ deep.  They caught all of their fish woring the current/structure breaks off the north-end of Fighting Island, La Salle, ON.

We are booked to shoot a walleye show on the Detroit River, ON on the April 27/28 weekend and hope the water conditions and fishing will be just as hot!
