We are getting reports that the Detroit River, ON Walleye fishing is producing well even though water clarity has been good/bad on the Canadian side of the river.
Some anglers are limiting out in just a couple of hrs. both fishing from shore or from a boat.
Most anglers are fishing heavier jigs in the 1/2-5/8oz rigged with either a 4″ plastic worm or a minnow-shaped 4 1/2″ swim bait. The key is to keep the presentation within 1′ of the bottom without getting snagged.
The Windsor and La Salle, ON waterfront are both popular areas to catch Walleye now from shore. Boat anglers are catching Walleye throughout the river and especially in the stretch from Windsor to La Salle, ON.
