Our good friend Pat Pagano who runs the ICHA Handicapable Fishing Derby that will be happening for it’s 16th year June 2, 2018 had a chance to do some “family-style” fishing on the Detroit River.
He took out Nala with her two daughters Nagham and the younger Tiah. As you can see from the above image the walleye are still thick in the river and excellent size.
Besides catching their limits of walleye, they all had a blast catching as many white bass as they wanted. The end of May and June is an excellent time to fish the river and especially to take the whole family. All you need is a jighead and 4″ soft plastic grub and fish the current and structure breaks in 15-30′ water!
