Crappie fishing continue to be excellent.
Posted on May 16th, 2020In southern Ontario our weather has been cold and dreary. Who would have expected snow storms and temperatures dropping below -5C in the middle of May???
While many anglers are staying at home who can’t access boat launches, or just don’t want to fish in ugly weather, Josh Westerink has continued to chase Kawartha Lakes, ON Crappie from shore and from his boat. Looks like the slabs just keep striking. His favorite presentation…the old sensitive float, 1/8 oz jighead/1-2″ plastic grub fished on an ultralight. With this cool weather the large crappie will probably continue to be in the shallows for at least another 2-weeks!
