This picture makes the conditions look better than things were. We quickly too a shot of this fish and got the camera back in it's bag to keep it from getting soaked in the rain!

Arrived yesterday afternoon at Mashkinonje Lodge, ON on Nipissing’s west-arm to pre-fish for a TV show we are shooting Tues., & Wed.  When I arrived the owner Regan Thompson had just finished releasing a 53″ musky he caught about 300 yd. in front of the lodge. We went out today, but unfortunately the conditions were very poor. We had a drop in temperature of about 15-degrees from yesterday, strong north-east winds and rain…..no weather to be out on the water, but what the heck, we went out. I managed to land several pike and smallmouth bass casting Rapala Dives To series crankbaits in shallow water from 2-6′ using Rapala Shift & Concept Ti outfits loaded with Sufix 832 braided line and Sufix Fluorocarbon leaders. Pouring out now, hope it passes through so we can give it a go again tomorrow.

For those of you that enjoy our fall colors and the chance of catching small & largemouth bass, walleye, pike and big musky, Mashkinonje Lodge, ON is the place to go. They supply everything you need for a great fishing vacation or family get-away!
