Many anglers enjoy fishing southern Ontario reservoirs which you can easily access at through public Conservation Areas. Our good friend Gabor Horvat has been waiting for water temperatures to drop and just could not help getting out to see what the bass were up to.
He had a tough fish and confirms that surface water temps are still up in the mid-70′ and the smallmouth bass are still scattered. As temperatures start to drop they should be schooling-up and feeding heavily along shorelines & weedlines before heading to deeper-water “wintering” structure. Gabor had the best luck fishing medium-diving crankbaits.
