“Coho-bling”, BC.

Posted on October 4th, 2017

Tracey John Hittel of www.kitimatlodge.com , BC sent us these images of brilliant Cohos his guests have been catching & releasing in the local tributaries.

Early Oct. is excellent for fresh-run Coho Salmon that love to take a well presented fly.

This fish are very aggressive and will strike spoons, spinners and wobbling plugs with a vengeance.

Once they get darker most anglers will drift skeened salmon eggs, roe bags and even fish jigs to entice colored fish into striking.

Fresh-run Steelhead are often mixed in with the Coho Salmon and also take flies, artificials and roe eagerly.
