Chinooks salmon running in BC tributaries.
Posted on June 22nd, 2016Noel Gyger reports. A mix of sun and clouds with highs to +22 degrees Celsius. Kalum River fishing well for Steelhead and Chinook. Skeena River is in good shape and Chinook are moving up river now.

Zymoetz (Copper) River is clean enough to fish. Reg: No Fishing upstream of the sign at the transmission line crossing (downstream of Zymoetz Canyon) Jan 1 – June 15. Steelhead fishing below this closure is still permitted. Just need to find some open water and give it a shot. Lakelse River Bridge is starting to fish for Chinook. Kitimat River in good shape and fishing well for Steelhead and Trout; Chinook are starting to come in. Ocean fishing for Salmon, Halibut, Prawn and Crab good out of the ports of Kitimat and Prince Rupert.
