Bunny-strip flies for Steelhead.

Posted on December 22nd, 2015

I use a floating line and long leader when I fish this “bunny-strip” purple fly that is tied with 1/32 oz. eyes. I find the purple really casts a great “silhouette” especially if the water is off-color.

The key to making in-active browns to strike a fly is to make it produce a slow, tantalizing swimming action when it passed by the fish.
