Bottom-fishing Gulf of Mexico, Fl.

Posted on March 5th, 2013

[nggallery id=845]We took advantage of 1-2′ seas today and headed out around 10 am about 4-5 miles into the Gulf of Mexico, FL out of Stump Pass. We found a nice reef in 40′ of water using our Humminbird 800 series with Down Imagaing. We immediately dropped anchor and started catching fishst using our Rapala spinning outfits loaded with Sufix 832, 10 & 15 lb.

My wife Barbara, Mulligan our pup and I fished again with our daughter Amanda Flynn and her black lab, Odessa and our friend Lisa. We were all blessed and caught fish.  We had a really mixed bag of gray snapper, grunts, sheepshead, slippery dicks, spottail pinfish, yellowtail snapper and more.

To finish off the day we enjoyed an excellent fresh grilled fish dinner!
