Posted on February 18th, 2019Check out this 14.56-pound walleye caught through the ice on Lake Erie near Hamburg, NY by Bob Rustowicz of Cheektowaga, NY in February. It was a banner year for walleye fishing on Lake Erie last year.
According to the state Department of Environmental Conservation: “Lake Erie is continually ranked among the world’s top walleye fishing destinations by angler publications, with an abundance of trophy-size walleye ranging from 8-10 pounds, and local tournament winners often scoring fish exceeding 11 pounds.”
