Blue Fox Lil’Finn spoon for walleye.
Posted on March 9th, 2016I had a great time fishing ice-walleye with good friends Scottie Martin, Claudio Chiappetta, Matthew Saieva (KypeFish.com), & Marina Pinkus & testing a new TipNJig Ice Fishing System.
We had a nice lunch at Gabe’s Country Bake Shop , and then headed out for an afternoon walleye fish.
Conditions were good with air temps. around 2C. Scottie had pre-cut holes so we got our lines down in no time and started catching walleye within 5 min. of being on the ice!
Some of the walleye were caught on a simple weight, hook and live minnow, and we also caught just as many jigging spoons.
My most productive spoon was the Blue Fox Lil’Finn in the 1/4 oz. size tipped with a small fresh, dead minnows. With mild temps. moving in our southern Ontario ice won’t last long, so if you love to ice fish, you better get out there!
