[nggallery id=496]The Lower Grand River south of Dunnville, ON is definitely on of southern Ontario’s top early season Channel Catfish grounds. Anglers start fishing the river in March and catch trophy Channel Catfish right through the summer with the peak being months being April/May. If you have thought about hooking one of these trophy fish, from shore or from a small boats, now is the time to do it. With recent heavy rains, the Grand will be murky and will have higher flows than normal. It’s best to let the river recede to it’s normal flow & turbidity before you head out.
