Belwood Lake Conservation Area – Fishing Report

I was up in Fergus, ON this past Saturday morning to try some fishing for bass / pike.
I was able to land a nice little pike that weighed approximatly 1 1/2 lbs., which also happened to be, my first pike I ever caught. I was using an all Rapala set up, including my Rapala Avantis baitcaster, loaded up with 14lb. test Suffix mono, a titanium leader with a Rapala Jointed Shad Rap in a perch colour. This shad rap worked great, landed this northern, also hooked a second but lost it at the side of my boat. I can also report that the action of this lure was awesome in the water. The little pike also happened to be the first fish landed in my new little used fishing boat.
