BC Tributary Steelhead and Chinooks.

Posted on May 4th, 2018

Feature image is a gorgeous fly caught steelhead by one of Tracey Hittel’s guest as Kitimat Adventures.

Noel Gyger reports. Mix of sun and clouds with highs to 22 degrees Celsius. Chinook are coming in now especially in the Skeena and Kalum. The high water is moving Chinook (King) Salmon up quickly. I have reports Steelhead fishing this spring, so far, has been excellent. Skeena River is dirty. The pro fishing guides have been doing very well, lots of happy clients. Kalum River is fishing well for Steelhead…and NOW Chinook. Kitimat River spring Steelhead fishing is going well. Zymoetz (Copper) River is dirty. Ocean fishing for Salmon, Halibut, Prawn and Crab good out of the ports of Kitimat and Prince Rupert.

If you would like to book a river fishing guide or ocean charter for 2018-19 you can contact Noel at, www.noelgyger.ca .
