BC freshwater & saltwater fishing update.
Posted on May 16th, 2016Noel Gyger reports. Mainly sunny with highs to +24 degrees Celsius. Kalum River is high but clean and Steelhead and Chinook fishing is fair. Skeena River is dropping and is in fishable shape now. Zymoetz (Copper) River has cleaned up. Reg: No Fishing upstream of the sign at the transmission line crossing (downstream of Zymoetz Canyon) Jan 1 – June 15.
Steelhead fishing below this closure is still permitted. Just need to find some open water and give it a shot. Need a guide for 2016 in either the Class one or Class two sections contact me anytime. Kitimat River is in good shape and fishing well for Steelhead and Trout. Ocean fishing for Salmon, Halibut, Prawn and Crab good out of the ports of Kitimat and Prince Rupert.
