Noel Gyger reports. Cloudy with showers and highs to +18 degrees Celsius. Skeena River in fair. The anglers who know where and how to fish for summer-run Steelhead are doing well using all the methods. They are also catching Pink and Coho. Actually the Coho run is stronger now. Kalum River in fair shape and summer-run Steelhead and Coho are coming in and being caught. Zymoetz (Copper) River in poor shape, mostly a brown colour. This colour comes from old dusty snow pack, no fresh snow yet. Kitimat River is slow for Coho as it has been dirty most of the time. That said, not everyone is catching them as they may not know know the “hot spots”, which may change just about every day as the fish move up river…and how high the tides, etc. Ocean fishing for Salmon, Halibut, Prawn and Crab good out of the ports of Kitimat, Stewart and Prince Rupert.
