BC Fishing News.

Noel Gyger reports. Mix of sun and cloud with highs to +22 degrees Celsius. Kalum River closed for Chinook August 7th.  Skeena River in good shape and fishing good for Steelhead, Coho and Pink. Zymoetz (Copper) River is clean and Steelhead are moving in.

Connor Sabo with a fresh Skeena River Sockeye landed August 7th. He was fly fishing with a 12', 510 grain rod with a 20 foot shooting head with 12 foot of lc13. The Sockeye run is larger than last year but still below average.

Kitimat River in fair shape and fishing well for Chinook, Pink and Chum. Ocean fishing for Salmon, Halibut, Prawn and Crab good out of the ports of Kitimat and Prince Rupert.
