Bay of Quinte producing Jumbo Perch and lot’s of eating-size Walleye.
Posted on December 11th, 2009My wife Barbara and I had a chance to pre-fish the Upper Bay of Quinte last Sat. & Sun., and we tested the waters right from the Hwy.#62 bridge in Belleville, ON and also ran east to check the fishing at Massassauga Point, Big Bay, Trident Point, Telegraph Narrows, the Hwy.#49 bridge, and at the mouth of Hay Bay. Our best fishing success for jumbo perch was just west of the Hwy.#49 bridge fishing Jigging Rapalas in 30-40′ of water. We also had good action catching both jumbo perch and eating-size walleye fishing the mouth of Hay Bay in Hayward Longreach. If the weather turns mild again the fishing should still be excellent there.
