Bass Fishing continues to be excellent in Southern Ontario reservoirs.
Posted on October 11th, 2009Gabor Horvat reports. We just got back from a nice Saturday afternoon fishing trip. I asked my neighbor and friend Paul Weiler if he would come with me on the boat for a couple of hours, and he and his son Ben joined on the outing. In about 2 hours of fishing we landed 6 bass and one crappy, and we also lost few fish as well. We used the drift-fished, jigging with a tube jig over rocky bottom structre. When we started, the wind (about 10-15km/h), was light which made for ideal conditions. Within a 1/2 on hour on the water, we started to locate and catch fish. We found that ½-once jig-heads were working good in depths of 16-25 feet. We used green and brown tubes and both were working good. The wind started to pick up and we decided to head home.
