Our friend Andrew Neil just arrived back from a fishing trip he enjoyed with his eldest son and daughter about 2.5 hours north of Edmonton off the Fort Saskatchewan river (Long Lake).
The weather was damp and cold and not ideal for camping, but the fish cooperated which made all the difference.

While many anglers are intimidated by a pike’s “Y-bones” that they release them not realizing how easy it is to remove them and to enjoy this delicious fish.
The team caught plenty of fish for eating and had a great time, even if the weather wasn’t the best.
