Can you please give me the names or sites for any party boat or bottom fishing boats in the Vancouver BC area similar to the drift fishing boats they have in the Fort Lauderdale area I just love your Canadian Sport Fishing show Thanks for your help

Hi Louise…Thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately I don’t know of any “party-boats” for salmon or bottom fishing that go out from Vancouver, BC. The only “party-boats” I am familiar with and have fished off of are at the Canadian Princess out of Uclulit, BC (west-side of Vancouver Island). Dear Italo. I am trying to set up a Salmon/Steelhead tour around Smithers & Terrace BC in mid Sep-mid Oct 08. Considering my length of tour I prefer to go DIY rather than take a guided tour, a diy will give me the freedom to roam. I have contacted the local oufitters in Smithers & Terrace and received no responce. I guess this because they want to sell me a guided tour. Can you give me any information with regard to access, we will be flying into Calgary and renting a camper RV. Driving up the Fraser Valley to Smithers where we intend to start our fishing

Hi Cliff…There are so many rivers to fish in that part of BC and many of the most productive spots are very specific. I would really encourage you to contact Noel Gyger at, http://www.noelgyger.ca/ . He is a good friend and we have shot over a dozen TV shows together for most of the species that are available in that part of BC. He is a guide, but I am sure that he will be willing to give you some good advice. My advice to you would be to hire him at least a day or two until you get a feel for the area and the fishing…God bless you, Italo
