Posted on February 22nd, 2010My wife Barbara and I just experienced the best top-water fishing for trophy largemouth bass of our lives. Staying at Cardon Resort, Mexico and fishing El Salto lake, we used the Rapala Skitter Pop to catch big bass all day long. Most of the time we were making short casts within 1′ of the shoreline dodging standing trees and concentrating on getting a big fish to explode on our baits. We caught most of out trophy bass fishing small creeks and bays that are plentiful on El Salto.
