As we get milder and milder late winter temperatures many anglers are looking to the Great Lakes piers/harbors and lower sections of tributary streams to target Steelhead. While most use roe bags, egg imitation beads, plastics eggs & worms, & flies, some like casting artificial lures.
In this weeks featured image Drake Damchuk caught his first steelhead on a Vibrax #4 spinner after sending in an Ask Italo question as to what lures to use for these fish. I gave the advise and he put it to use. Spinners have caught many steelhead over the years but are often overlooked since so many anglers use drift-outfits. To fish spinners properly you really need a steelhead spinning outfit.
