Hello Italo, I went to the Sail in Burlington the other day, and saw some very nice steelhead jigs, and am thinking about going back to pick some up for the upcoming steelhead season. They had black, white, brown, pink, pink/white, and chartreuse. When is a good time to fish these jigs? Which colours do you recommend for the different situations when fishing?Posted on March 9th, 2017
Hi Ibrahim, I have not seen the SAIL steelhead jigs so I don’t know how large they are or their weight. All I can tell you is I use 1/32 – 1/16 oz. 2-3″ long steelhead jigs in smaller tributaries at any time. I also use larger 1/8 oz. steelhead jigs in larger river like the Niagara at any time also…God bless you.
