We just finished shooting an action packed TV show fishing from the brand new Pelican Catch120 NXT. This episode is full of great kayak fishing tips.
November may not be the top month for most open water fishermen but I have caught some of my largest largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and have had non-stop pike action as water temperatures dive and fish start to school-up on open-water structure breaks.
Besides catching lot’s of fish, I was really impressed with the stability and fisherman friendly features the Pelican Catch120 NXT has to offer. First of all it has a specially designed “tunnel-hull” which makes it very stable. This means you can fish comfortably sitting down, or standing up. It is 11’8″ long, is 34″ wide and 15″deep. It only weights 69 lbs. but has a load capacity of 400 lbs.! The storage lids have a special internal “lip” that keeps water out. It comes with built in rod holders, and Scottie tracks which can be accessorized with everything from a fish cleaning board, GoPro stand, universal fishfinder base/transducer arm, non-slip stand-up carpet, a tape measure and more. If you have been thinking of getting a kayak for fishing, the Catch120 NXT is perfect!(images provided by@peteryeungphotography @arieshadela )
