Lumberjacks Challenge
Lumberjacks Challenge Television Series is a 13-episode Series that features the best men and women lumberjack competitors in Canada and the United States.
This 1/2 hour television show is about athletes and athletic competition. They are about individuals demonstrating their unique brand of skills in a fiercely competitive environment, featuring the Standing Block Chop, the Springboard Chop, the Single Buck, the Pole Climb and the Open Modified Saw. These men and women battle the clock and each other while competing for prize money and an opportunity to be the best of Lumberjacks Challenge TV Series.
In this day of egos, greed and unimaginable salary demands in many professional sports, the athletes on Lumberjacks Challenge receive comparatively little recognition for their efforts. For them satisfaction comes in knowing that many of the skills they perform in competition are more than 200 years old and matched by few people. These activities test all natural athletic abilities, strength, perseverance and resilience.
Lumberjacks Challenge is about a sport that is truly distinctive. It offers a historical and cultural look into this Canadian tradition and the people who live it. Focusing primarily on the action, the Series also covers the human element of the sport and brings the viewers right into the game.
The Series follows athletes from across North America as they compete their way to the ultimate prize, Lumberjack of the Day.
