How does an NHL head coach unwind during the bye week? If you’re Buffalo Sabres coach Dan Bylsma, and you developed a love of fishing while growing up on the shores of Lake Michigan, you seize upon a break in the weather and hit the Lower Niagara River.
Bylsma hauled in this sizable Great Lakes steelhead Thursday while out with Capt. Frank Campbell. They were accompanied by News Outdoors writer Bill Hilts Jr., who plans to write on Bylsma’s fondness for fishing in his next column. It’s not the first time a picture of Bylsma with fish in hand has crossed our Outdoors desk. Now if his team can just catch a hot streak.
