The Mistissini Lodge offers 20 elegant rooms which all have a stunning view of the Baie-du-Poste. On a beautiful summer day, you can take a stroll along the shores of the southern part of the majestic Mistassini Lake, which are just a few steps away from your room. During the cold winter days, you can enjoy yourselves by going on a self-guided expedition on snowshoes or cross-country skis on the frozen lake or the within the surroundings of Mistissini. The Lodge also serves as a multi-purpose tourism facility which houses a restaurant, a meeting place, a Cree Interpretation Centre (Museum), Tourist Information Centre and an Arts and Craft shop. Whether your stay is for leisure or business purposes, we will make your stay an unforgettable one. The dinning room offers continental style menu and to top it off, put your hands on one of their succulent fresh desserts that are prepared on a daily basis. The dinning area is also available upon demand for purposes such as banquets, wedding receptions or just to have the family together. With the view of the lake along with the native artwork that surrounds you, this will provide you a memorable get together with family and friends. For those of you that are planning to hold a conference or a meeting within the Lodge, the conference room can take a capacity of 40 to 60 people or for the smaller groups, the rooms can be divided into two sections that can hold 20 to 25 people. Refreshments and audio-visual equipment are available during meetings at your request. As you walk and read along the Cree Interpretation Centre, the panels will give you a history on the Cree people of Mistissini and about the community as well, and how it became as one of the largest Cree community within the Cree territory. The Tourist Information Centre will be glad to provide you any information about the community and the services that the community has to offer. During the fishing season, you can obtain your daily access permits at the tourism office, which is located on the third floor of the Mistissini Lodge. If you want to bring back something for that special someone, then the arts and craft boutique is your one stop shop for some memorable souvenirs that are handcrafted by our local Cree artists. Located within the main floor of the Lodge, this will be the place to purchase theses memorable goods before you head home or if you forgot to bring some items for your trip, you may find what you are missing with the convenience products that the boutique has to offer. Here is a little bonus for the outdoor enthusiasts, the Lodge has a fish-cutting house for the anglers, where you can clean and prepare your fish.
